Discounted Price? Where?!
I see many reviews with individuals speaking of the newly discounted price of $15.00…Where is this?! All I see is the price of $299.99. WHAT?! This program has been designed to be very easy to use, and subsequently for people with limiited knowledge of how to create said cinemagraphs on other programs (i.e. photoshop) that require a more technical knowledge base. If you’ve created a program for more of a general audience like this one, then you should price it appropriately. It seems the absurd asking price of $299.99 would be tailored to more of the professional market. However, professionals that are able to shell out $299.99 for a photo editing program already know how to accomplish a publishable cinemagraph on other software like photoshop.
For $15.00 I would buy this in a heartbeat. For $299.99, you would have to be crazy. It really is a shame too, because I could definitely market this for my shark research, and help spread the word of this program to others. It would be a ‘win/win’ situation. Too bad the price is out of a researchers budget. This is a great example of a good product but extremely poor marketing strategy. What a shame.
